I love that movie. And really, I just couldn’t think of a good post title that included the word October.
I’ve got some winners of things to announce, an upcoming contest, and just some bits about my life. And also writing news. So, let’s start in reverse order!
The anthology will be released in just 8 days! I am getting excited about this! For those not in the know, it’s a short story anthology called Paranormal Days Gone Awry. I am one of 13 contributing authors and if you’re a Dani fan, you’re going to want to read it! It’s also near and dear to my heart because I actually submitted this story to Anchor Group Publishing after I self published Semester Aboard. They loved the short story so much, they offered me a contract on Semester Aboard almost on the spot! It’s very exciting to see this anthology in print. Be sure to add it on Goodreads and snag it when you can!
On to other writing news. I am about 3/4 of the way done with Chapter 15 of Snow Bound. It has since stretched to 21 estimated chapters (which means more to read!). I am still shooting for a December/January publishing time frame, so we shall see. Be sure to keep a close eye on the coming soon page for that one!
I am also hard at work on that short story collection I have hinted about. I will, if all is still going well, be making a big announcent about that in November.
So, on to my life. I just moved. Which, is why I’ve been a lot more unavailable in recent weeks. I’ve not only been spending every spare moment unpacking, but my commute has gotten quite a bit longer, which really cuts down on my Facebook time. But, I am here! If you need anything, I really am around.
In addition, since moving has been a bit chaotic, I have that awful feeling that things have fallen through the cracks. If I owe you something in the mail or interview answers or something, please give me a reminder nudge.
The awesome part of my move, is that there is a little corner in my basement that I am eyeing as a Writing Nook. I am planning on doing some fun things to it and turning it into a little writing haven. Unfortuently, my husband has claimed the rest of the basement as a man cave, so it won’t be the most peaceful spot on game night, but I still have my eye on it. If I do convert it into a little writing spot, I’ll be posting pictures here after it’s done.
Contest! Some of you may remember the Blue Moon Contest that I did in August. I opened my Facebook to questions about TS and werewolves in the MtM universe. I answered a bunch both about the world and “in character”. Everyone who asked a question got an “entry” and I gave out a bunch of prizes. It seemed pretty popular, so I’m going to give it another shot.
Since Thomas’ birthday is coming up in just a few days, I’m going to do it for him this time! Keep your eyes open for a Facebook post starting the contest up!
And, the reason you’re all still reading, the winners! Last month’s contest, which got a grand total of 2 entries, was to make an image promoting Semester Aboard. Since there were only 2 entires, you both won, yay! So, congrats to Amanda L and Cassie C! I’ll be sending you both a message on Facebook shortly!
Here are the images they made:
Feel free to post and share them around the internet. If you make some of your own, be sure to show them to me!
